Win of the Year for EV

English Valleys 38, Colo-Nesco 36

            More than just a win was at stake for English Valleys on Friday. A loss to Colo-Nesco would have eliminated the EV football team from playoff contention. A loss also would’ve made the discussion of whether this season would be considered a success, very much up for debate.

            Friday’s Homecoming game against Colo-Nesco was the most important game of the Bears’ season.

            “We had to be ready for anything and had to play as hard as we could,” said senior defensive tackle Colton Miller. “ Last week was the best week of practice we’ve ever had. We knew they were going to come out and keep fighting, so we knew we’d have to hold on and battle.”
