Boys Basketball Mid-Season Wrap Up

Sigourney

The Sigourney Savages boys basketball team currently hold an overall record of 6-4, with a conference record of 4-3.

The Savages leading scorer is sophomore Issac Bruns with 12.7 points per game. Bruns also leads the team in rebounds and assists with 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

The Savages will commence the second half of their season by visiting the Lynnville-Sully Hawks on January 3.  

Keota

The Keota Eagles boys basketball team wrapped up their first half of the season with an overall record of 8-2, with a conference record of 6-1.

The Eagles leading scorer on the season is junior Sawyer Stout with 17.2 points per game. Sophomore Billy Kindred is the leading rebounder for the Eagles with 8.8 rebounds per game. The Eagles main facilitator has been junior Cole Kindred with 3.6 assists per game. 

The Eagles will kick off the second half of their season by visiting the Montezuma Braves on January 3. 

Tri-County

The Tri-County Trojans boys basketball team finished the first half of the season with an overall record of 1-6 and a conference record of 1-5.

The Trojans leading scorer is senior Cayle Kitzman with 9.1 points per game. Senior Corbyn Thomas is the leading rebounder for the Trojans with 6.7 rebounds per game. The main facilitator for the Trojans is sophomore Levi Molyneux with two assists per game.

The Trojans will return to action on January 3, when they host the HLV Warriors. 

English Valleys

The English Valleys Bears basketball team wrapped up their first half of the season with an overall record of 1-8 and a conference record of 1-6.

The Bears leading scorer on the season is junior Myles Grove with 11.9 points per game. Groves is also the main facilitator for the team with four assists per game. Senior Keshaun Lundy has been the biggest paint presence for the Bears with 6.6 rebounds per game. 

The Bears will return to action on January 3, when they host the BGM Bears.

Pekin

The Pekin Panthers boys basketball team concluded the first half of their season with an overall record of 3-5 and a conference record of 3-2.

The Panthers leading scorer is senior Luke Long with 14 points per game. Junior Jaedon Wolver is the leading rebounder for the Panthers with 7.6 rebounds per game. The main facilitator for the Panthers is senior Cade Bemis with 4.6 assists per game.

The Panthers will kick off their second half of the season by hosting the WACO Warriors on January 3.
