English Valleys Girls Venture to Pekin for Horton Relays

PACKWOOD—On April 13, the English Valleys girls track team ventured to Pekin high school for a track meet. The Bears finished in fourth with an aggregate score of 54. 

For the team events, the 4x100 meter relay team placed third with a final time of 55.38. The 4x100 team consists of Delaney Hall, Libby Armstrong, Anna Gorsh and Kayli Mohror.

In the sprint medley, the Bears placed third with a final time of 2:09.98. The sprint medley team is made up of Kayli Mohror, Libby Armstrong, Delaney Hall and Anna Gorsh. 

For the individual events, Kayli Mohror took home the silver in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.04. Mohror also placed third in the long jump event with a longest jump recorded at 15-04.25.  

In the 200 meter dash, Delaney Hall placed fourth with a time of 31.18. Anna Gorsh finished in ninth in the same event with a time of 32.42. 

Kaylee Frazier finished in fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with a final time of 1:25.33. Frazier also took home the bronze in the high jump with a highest jump recorded at 4-04.00. 

Lastly for the individual events, Kennedy Axmear placed third in the shot put event with a longest throw recorded at 36-00.50, while taking home the gold in the discus event with a longest throw recorded at 129-01. 

The English Valleys Bears girls track team will return to action on April 18, when they participate in the EBF meet.
