Geoffrey Lynn Eyler 69

Geoffrey Lynn Eyler 69, was born July 12, 1954 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to his parents Jay Eyler and Sylvia Roberts Eyler. After a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer he passed away at the Serenity House in Oskaloosa, Iowa on February 14, 2024. Geoffrey was surrounded with love from his wife, Audrey, his niece Kim Horras and his life long friends when he left his Earthly home.

Geoffrey was a life long resident of Gibson, Iowa. Soon after graduating from Tri-County in 1973 Geoffrey spent time in England where his mother and granny resided. During his stay he kept remembering that “brown-eyed girl” he met back home so he soon returned back to Iowa.

Geoffrey worked for Jim Leer and learned the ins and outs of field tiling which later resulted in Geoffrey owning and operating his own business: Eyler the Tiler. He also worked for Jerry Joe Van Dee in his younger years. After his retirement from the tiling business he fulfilled his dream of farming.

Since Geoffrey had a love for flying and an abundance of love for Audrey Sue Jones they were married on January 31, 1976 in the hanger of the Oskaloosa Iowa Airport. Geoffrey and Audrey spent their 48 years together side by side, either in the fields tiling, in the air flying, or just living life but always together.

Geoffrey is survived by his devoted wife Audrey, his sister Gail, her family, brother and sister in laws, several nieces and nephews and cousins, his dog Holly, his childhood friends and the countless people who had the opportunity to cross paths with Geoffrey. His presence will be greatly missed but never forgotten!

Fly High Geoff…

(Lovingly written by his family)
