Keota Girls Participate in Horton Relays at Pekin High School

PACKWOOD—On April 13, the Keota girls track team made the trek to Pekin high school for the Horton Relays. The Eagles finished in ninth with an aggregate score of 10.

For the team events, the Eagles placed fourth in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 57.48. The 4x100 team consists of Kimberly Clarahan, Grace Conger, Izzi Chalupa and Olivia Lyle. 

The Panthers also placed sixth in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 2:10.84. The 4x200 team is made up of Ava Greiner, Cassandra Swantz, Emily Sheetz and Emily Moeller.

Lastly for the team events, the Eagles finished in fourth in the sprint medley with a time of 2:11.21. The sprint medley team consists of Kimberly Clarahan, Grace Conger, Emily Moeller and Olivia Lyle. 

For the individual events, Izzi Chalupa placed 11th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 15.53. Chalupa also finished in ninth in the long jump with a longest jump recorded at 13-03.00.

Olivia Lyle placed eighth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 31.91. 

In the 100 meter hurdles, Kimberly Clarahan finished in sixth with a time of 20.11, while Grace Conger placed eighth with a final time of 20.99.

The Keota girls track team will return to action on April 25, when they visit Sigourney high school for a track meet.
