Pekin Boys Falls to Pella Christian at Home

PACKWOOD—The Pekin Panthers boys basketball team hosted the Pella Christian Eagles, who are currently the 16th in clas 2A, on January 16 for a non-conference matchup. The Eagles defeated the Panthers by a final score of 83-47. 

The Eagles jumped out to a quick 26-16 lead by the conclusion of the first quarter. The Eagles pushed their lead to 53-28 by halftime. The Eagles kept up the momentum by out-scoring the Panthers 30-19 in the second half en route to a 83-47 victory over the Panthers.

The Panthers fall to 6-8 on the season, with a conference record of 5-4. They will return to action on January 17, when they host the Columbus Wildcats.
