Sigourney Girls Fall to Colfax Mingo by One Stroke in Home Triangular

SIGOURNEY—On April 11, the Sigourney Savages hosted the Keota Eagles, the HLV Warriors and the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks. The Savages narrowly fell to the Tigerhawks by a final pin total of 221-222, but were able to defeat the Warriors, as their pin total was 226.

For the Savages, Emma Hammes secured a runner-up finish with a final tally of 48. Addylyn Tremmel wrapped her day with a fourth place finish with a final score of 52.

The last two scores for the Savages were Krista Sellers and Lana Thomas with a 61 apiece.

The Eagles did not yield an aggregate score with only two golfers. Lainey Swanson led the charge by finishing in sixth place with a final score of 55. Ava Greiner ended her day in 17th with a score of 74.

The Sigourney girls golf team will return to action on April 17 for the Ottumwa Invitational. 

The Keota girls golf team will return to action on April 16, when they head to Oskaloosa for an invitational.
