Sigourney Track Teams Travel to Sully for Meet

SULLY-On April 14, the Sigourney Savages track teams visited Lynnville-Sully for a meet. The boys finished in seventh with an aggregate score of 25.

Boys:

For the boys team events, the Savages placed third in the 1600 meter medley relay with a time of 4:14.35. The 1600 meter relay team is made up of Brady Clark, Jake Moore, Colt Reed and Troy Klett.

For the individual events, Colt Reed placed sixth in the 200 meter dash with a final time of 25.81. 

In the 400 meter dash, Braydon Wood finished in fourth with a time of 59.35, while Wyatt Wehr placed sixth with a time of 1:00.63. 

Troy Klett placed fifth in the 1600 meter run with a final time of 5:25.97. Klett also took home the bronze with a final time of 11:28.30.

In the 800 meter run, Landon Crow finished in sixth with a final time of 2:24.76. 

Lastly for the individual events, Ashton Schwab placed eighth in the discus event with a longest throw recorded at 95-00.  

Girls:

For the girls team events, the Savages placed second in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 2:14.43. The 4x200 team consists of Dani Aller, Erin Dawson, Mackenzie Belvel and Mason Clarahan. 

In the 4x800 meter relay, the Savages finished in third with a final time of 14.11.04. The 4x800 team is made up of McKinley Chittick, Addison Yates, Ava Fineran and Mandie Wilcox. 

The Savages placed second in the 800 medley relay with a time of 2:07.84. The 800 medley relay team consists of McKinley Chittick, Dani Aller, Erin Dawson and Ava Fineran. 

The Savages took home the silver in the distance medley with a time of 5:10.20. The distance medley team is made up of Reagan Clarahan, Carly Goodwin, Amiya Smallwood and Addison Yates. 

For the individual events, Erin Dawson and Dani Aller placed fourth and fifth in the 100 meter dash. Dawson finished fourth with a time of 14.89, while Aller finished in fifth with a time of 14.99 

In the 200 meter dash, Amiya Smallwood took home the silver with a final time of 30.63. 

Carly Goodwin placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:08.73. 

Ava Fineran was the fourth runner to cross the finish line in the 1500 meter run with a final time of 6:59.23. 

In the 100 meter hurdles, Mason Clarahan and Erin Dawson took home silver and bronze. Clarahan placed second with a final time of 18.99, while Dawson finished in third with a time of 20.57. Clarahan also took home the silver in the 400 meter hurdles with a final time of 1:22.49. 

Addison Yates placed third in the 3000 meter run with a final time of 12:55.21. 

McKinley Chittick finished in second place in the high jump event with a high jump recorded at 4-08.00.

Josephine Moore finished in first in the shot put event with a longest throw recorded at 32-03.50. Moore also placed third in the discus event with a longest throw recorded at 75-04. 

Macy Fisch placed second in the shot put event with a longest throw recorded at 30-06.00, while also finishing in fifth in the discus event with a longest throw recorded at 74-00.

The Sigourney girls track team will return to action on April 18 for the EBF meet, while the boys track team will return to action on April 20 for the EBF meet.
