Tabatha Conger

Catoosa, Oklahoma

1989-2022

The heavens have gained a bright and beautiful new star. Tabatha Nicole “Tabby” Conger, 32, passed away peacefully, June 4, 2022 at HillCrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones.

Tabby was born August 24, 1989 in Ottumwa, IA and raised in the Ollie area. Tabby was a 2007 graduate of Pekin Community Schools, she worked as a waitress/bartender at the Richland bar. She had a bold and bigger than life personality and was an avid Hawkeye fan. She loved fishing, the outdoors and spending time with her many friends.

Tabby later moved to Jefferson, IA. On October 28, 2013, she was critically injured in an accident that left her a quadraplegic. A fighter and survivor, Tabby did not give up, instead, considered this date a new “birthday”, the beginning of a new life story. She lived life to the fullest, accepted the challenge and continued doing what she loved just learned a different way of doing it. This became her new job “Quad Probs”.

Disney movies, especially The Little Mermaid were a favorite of Tabs, and of course, she loved her Reba, Roseanne and Jersey Shore marathons with her “sister”, Shelby. In recent years, Tabby was a resident of Sunrise Terrace in Winfield, IA where she was cared for by staff that quickly became friends.

In March 2022, Tabby moved to Oklahoma with her love, Michael, who has brought her so much happiness. They enjoyed many days relaxing on the porch or sharing time with friends. Tabatha is survived by her parents, Kari Hahn Purdin and Tony Conger; her grandparents, Jim and Mary Lou Conger; brother, Tyler Conger; son, Hunter Aiden and the ‘love of her life’ Michael Myers. Additionally, she is survived by her step children, Jacob, Sequoyah, and Logan, as well as Tyler and Ryan from a previous marriage, aunts and uncles; Shari Burtlow, Lydia Haig, Sandy (Mike) Hahn, Tom Conger, Cris (Melinda) Conger and Harold Conger and Katie (Mary) Sands; niece and nephew, Westlynn and Waylonn Conger, as well as her nieces in heart, Laina

and Libby Ingle. Tabby also leaves behind many many cousins, friends and family who encouraged and supported her to live her best life and follow her dreams to the fullest. Tabatha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne Hahn and Janet Haig, uncle, Mike Hahn and a cousin, Ryan Conger.

Tabatha will continue to live on through organ donation, she has saved the lives of three others. In true Tabby style, her body will be cremated per her request, so that she will once again have a “hot body”.

Tabby’s family would like to thank HillCrest Hospital for their amazing care and support in her final weeks.

Memorial Services are being planned both in Oklahoma and in Iowa and will be announced at a later date.
