Tri-County Girls Head to Pekin for Horton Relays

PACKWOOD—On April 13, the Tri-County Trojans girls track team traveled to Pekin high school for a meet. The Trojans finished in seventh place with an aggregate score of 35.50.

For the team events, the Trojans placed fifth in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 2:10.05. The 4x200 team consists of Lily Randall, Gabby Bunker, Jordyn Hughes and Grace Randall. 

In the 4x400 meter relay, the Trojans took home the silver with a final time of 4:46.74. The 4x400 team is made up of Grayce Williams, Sadie McKain, Ayla Hall and Aaliyah Cooper. 

Last for the team events, the Trojans placed second in the sprint medley with a time of 2:05.29. The sprint medley team consists of Lily Randall, Grace Randall, Ayla Hall and Aaliyah Cooper. 

For the individual events, Sadie McKain finished in sixth place in the 100 meter dash with a final time of 14.74. 

In the 400 meter dash, Aaliyah Cooper secured the gold for the Trojans with a time of 1:06.51. Sadie McKain also placed fourth in the same event with a time of 1:09.75, while Grayce Willams finished in sixth with a time of 1:13.08. 

Lily Randall placed seventh in the long jump event with a longest jump recorded at 14-07.00. 

Lastly for the individual events, Peyton Icenbice placed sixth in the shot put with a longest throw recorded at 30-03.00, and finished in seventh in the discus event with a longest throw of 85-06. 

The Trojans girls track teams will return to action on April 17, when they travel to Iowa Valley high school for a meet.
