Fourth-Quarter Frenzy Lifts SK to Win
Sigourney-Keota 55, Highland 42
By all accounts, Friday’s game between Sigourney-Keota and Highland was as entertaining as a prep football game could possibly be. Even better, the Cobras came out on top in a wild, offense-dominated, shootout, 55-42, giving them a much needed second win in District play.
“It was a big game,” said SK senior Nate Owen. “We lose, we don’t make the playoffs. It was that simple. That’s the way these last two game will be, too.”
The Cobras improved to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in District play, tied with EBF and Highland for third place in the district.
