SIGOURNEY- Ardis Hammes, age 84, of Sigourney, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Ardis was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Floyd and Mildred (Swain) Yahnke. She attended elementary school in Delta and country school before graduating from Sigourney High School.
