Keota Hosts CO-ED Triangular with English Valleys and Hillcrest Academy

KEOTA— On April 23, the Keota Eagles hosted the English Valleys Bears and Hillcrest Academy boys and girls golf teams for a triangular. The Eagles boys secured first with an aggregate score of 168, while the Bears finished in second with a 186.

English Valleys’ Jaidyn Rugg was the medalist for the girls with a 54 on the day, while her teammate Nicole Murphy was the runner up with a 56. 

Keota’s Lainey Swanson placed fourth with a 64, while Ava Greiner finished in ninth with a 68. 

For the boys, Keota’s Sawyer Stout finished as the runner up with a final score of 40. Cole Kindred finished tied for third with a 41, while Tanner Waterhouse tallied a 43 for a sixth place finish. Lastly for the Eagles, Brennan McGuire shot a 44 for an eight place finish.

English Valleys’ Eli Marsh finished his day tied for third with a final score of 41. The Bears were without #2 golfer Gage Heyne. Tyler Lortz tallied a 47 for a 10th place finish, while Luke Moore finished in 11th with a 48. Lastly for the Bears, Ty Ayers placed 12th with a 50.

The Keota and English Valleys boys will return to action on April 30, when they head up to Oskaloosa for the SICL Conference Tournament.

 

The girls will return to action on May 3 at Oskaloosa for the girls SICL Conference Tournament.
