Savage Boys Secured First at Golf Section in North Cedar

LOWDEN—On May 8, the Sigourney Savages boys golf team made the trip to the 3/30 Club in North Cedar for their 2024 Sectional Tournament. They took home first place as a team, with an aggregate score of 339.

Sophomore Solon Yates led the Savages with a runner-up position as he shot an 80 on the day. Freshman Ike Molyneux also tallied a top five finish, as he shot an 84 to tie for fourth place.

Junior Isaac Bruns shot a 86 on the day, and finished tied for seventh place. Lastly for the team score for the Savages, Cain Weber tied for 10th place with a final score of 89.

The Savages advance to the District Tournament in Heritage Oaks in Wapello on May 13 at 10 am.
