SK Soccer Falls to WACO on the Road Then to Pella Christian at Home


SK soccer’s Wells Clark tallied 26 saves in the games against WACO and Pella Christian

WAYLAND/SIGOURNEY—The SK Soccer team started their week of play off by visiting the WACO Warriors. The Warriors defeated the SK soccer team by a final score of 7-0.

It was a tough day for the soccer team, as the Warriors out-shot them 27-4. Goalkeeper Wells Clark was able to save 15 of the 22 shots on goal.

The Soccer team then returned home for a matchup against the Pella Christian Eagles. It was another tough matchup for the SK Soccer team, as the Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the half.

It was more of the same in the second half, as the Eagles added four more goals en route to the 9-0 victory.

The SK Soccer was once again led by goalkeeper Wells Clark, as he tallied 11 saves on 28 shots from the Eagles. Clark pushed his season total to 132 saves for the SK Soccer team while in net.

The SK Soccer team will return to action on April 30, when they host the #4 ranked West Branch Bears. They have another home game on May 3, when they host the Albia Blue Demons.
